One of the less effective stories in this issue, the narrator seems to be associating purity and innocence with physical contact with an infected city. As with most of these kinds of stories, the emphasis is largely on the attractive main character and not so much on the “oh my god” reaction that the last panel is meant to invoke (but doesn’t) in the reader.
