The zoom out on the first page is really well done. It’s a visually very strong opening. The eyes become a repeating motif throughout the story, to the point where the main character knows that son he’s raising was sired by his best friend because they have the same eyes. The second page is the last page of the story, which uses the same eye motif in the same place.
On an archival note, this is the only story in the entire issue that has page numbers.
