A few things to note about this page. First, the letters are all from inmates. Then, Eastman notes that previous installments of Frezzato’s stories resulted in dropped sales of the individual magazines but have consistently sold well in collected editions; next to Druuna, of course. After that, he notes that the book is still aiming to go monthly in July – which it did. Finally, he notes that Jean-Pierre Dionnet had recently gone out of his way to make disparaging remarks about Heavy Metal in the relaunch of Metal Hurlant. So Eastman responds in a typically Yankee capitalist manner – by pointing out that Heavy Metal is still going strong 25 years later.
