This story is a fantastic depiction of a guy going to a rave. The whole thing is a first-person viewpoint laid out in an eight panel grid. The blue pill shown here is the first bit of color we’ve seen – everything to this point is rendered in greyscale. On the next page, the drug kicking in is displayed by adding color to the story – one color per panel. The cartooning is blocky, but clean enough to be comprehensible. And the placement of the bodies in the dancefloor space is very well defined. It’s easily one of the best stories I’ve seen in this magazine in the past few years of publication.
