At first, I thought that Neal Adams illustrated this story, but then I saw the artist’s signature on the individual panels (some of them years apart) and realized that Neal Adams was actually the writer of this story. It starts out with a recognizable conceit – a planetary developer orders a woman from home because he’s lonely and horny, but somewhere towards the end it goes off the rails.

The artwork is the real star here – dreamy and trippy and absolutely the kind of thing that would make a stoned Heavy Metal reader slow down and examine each page with furious concentration.
