This issue’s Chain Mail contains three letters and two comics about Alien (although one of the comics is really just a panel from the adaptation). One of the letters loved the movie and one of the letters found it predictable and derivative, which just goes to show that it’s nearly impossible to please everyone. I love the fact that Heavy Metal somehow became the default place to talk about a movie that they didn’t produce simply because they promoted it heavily. I’m convinced that the third letter was printed simply so that they could walk through the various adaptations available, yet again.
