I’m still trying to figure what it is about Rock Opera that I find so engaging. These were obviously created as individual strips that have been pasted together but somehow they cohere nicely. The bottom strip on this page summarizes the weirdness of the series as a whole – our hero his being mugged on his first trip to New York and the mugger gets freaked out by the fact that our hero is keeping his girlfriend in his suitcase. The mugger runs away before our hero can explain that his girlfriend is actually a mannequin. There is a lot of dream logic like this in this story.
