There’s some serious self-loathing emenating off of the heavier character throughout the story. At one point, he almost throws himself off a bridge because of the sexual abuse he was subjected to in prison. Here, we get a solid helping of fat shaming on top of everything else. It’s not a comfortable story by any means, but it’s interesting that these topics come up, especially in the context of a crime caper.
