A large portion of the second half of the story takes place in a courtroom, for reasons. There are a number of different characters throughout the courtroom, which this page does a great job of highlighting. In the top tier, we have the eponymous Count Skarbek, along with the two industrialists who he convinced to bring the suit to the court. In the second tier, we have the observers who are sitting in the court, watching along. I also really like the depiction of the courtroom audience as a semiotic blur of colors and shapes in the background.
