This visuals in this story are very interesting. The backgrounds are all digital, but the foregrounds and characters are all hand-drawn in a more traditional style. Also, the Tekeli-li sound effects are a very specific Lovecraft reference. In fact, the whole story is about mixing and matching various public domain characters in an adventure to Antartica, which is more or less the same high-level pitch of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen spinoff volume Heart of Ice, right down to the Tekeli-li.
