The author of this story is outgoing editory Ted White, but the way it’s presented – words in a white sidebar – makes me wonder if the magazine got a pile of art without a story and had the bright idea to come up with a story to tie the whole thing together. Given the nature of the artwork, it’s hardly surprising that he went with a story about sexual confusion and awakening. If my dreams looked like that, I’d probably be sexually confused, too.
