These two slugs are marginally problematic. They are introduced as the Backdoor Brothers and one of them has a lisp. Then they take off their shells to go skinny-dipping and we get this page. Are they gay coded or not? I’d say so. Are they a poor stereotype? Maybe.

At any rate, that rose in the second panel is pretty impressive.
