The whole premise of this story is that the two ladies find this knight who doesn’t speak, regardless of the terrible things they do to him. This is very important to the ladies, because they want to ensure that the man can’t talk about his experiences. The punchline in the last panel demonstrates that the knight actually has a great deal of self-control.
