This article is part of the strange intersection of the primary Heavy Metal reader demographic waves – those who read the magazine before the movie and those that read it after the movie. The former were the people who saw the designs and ample marketing material for Alien (which featured Giger’s designs) and make it a hit. They would not be as into  Blondie as the newcomers might be, however. Old fan favorite, meet new fan favorite.

The article is about the time that the band spent in Switzerland so that Giger could make the album cover for Koo Koo. It continues in a heartfelt and introspective manner for a few pages, surrounded by high-quality photographs of Giger’s work.
