Moebius and Jodorowsky’s Incal shows up in this issue, already in progress. For some weird reason, Heavy Metal chose to start the serialization of this story in a separate special issue. I know this because it’s part of the collection that I inherited. Nowhere in this issue of the magazine does it tell the reader that the story makes more sense if you start elsewhere – I know because I looked.

At any rate, The Incal is a real classic from these creators, one of the best things that Moebius did. Also of interest: Yves Chalant did the coloring for the first half of the series.
