This is, hands down, one of the most hilarious episodes of Rock Opera I’ve ever read. It starts with a pair of letters – one from Nancy Reagan, complaining about how this strip has been treating her husband and another one from Conan Schwartzmuller (in crayon) suggesting that there should be more muscle-bound characters.

In response, Kierkegaard splits the strip in two – on the left is the new, improved version called “Space Opera” and on the right is the old version. This is followed through on the next page, where the same events are retold side-by-side through each filter.
