The announcement that David Fincher is going to direct a Heavy Metal film is, in retrospect, premature. I looked it up and discovered that the project mentioned here finally came out in 2016 as the Netflix series Love, Death + Robots. Personally, I wouldn’t announce a single film deal around Heavy Metal until it’s in production. But that’s me.
