On the previous pages, Colt has gotten bored with being a badass bounty hunter and decides to enter a high-stakes race. Then he places an enormous bet on himself, then he comes home and tells his crew that they have a short time to get a rig together because they’re already committed. Then he finds out that the race has been rigged and he’s been told he needs to throw the race.

Here, we see the race explained in a single, well-conceived page. We even get a flash of the mob boss’s personality in the second tier.

Spoiler alert: of course Colt wins the race, ensuring that he’ll be back soon to face the consequences.
