Another story done in page-wide tiers with text underneath each image – a not unusual approach amongst European comics. This story is about the driver of a car (we’re never shown the driver’s gender) who is trying to get back into a massive arcology to retrieve some personal belongings. In the end, the automated service station declines his credit cards and the car itself won’t let the seat belt release so that the driver can get out of the car. It’s a very bleak story – very Ballard in a lot of ways.
