Judging from the letters printed in the issues at or about this time, I’m Age was not considered to be a very entertaining series to the contemporary readership. Part of the problem, I think, had to do with strips like this – a series of panels that is almost observational, very elliptical and concerned with snails. Yes, there was a naked woman, but she wasn’t doing anything especially interesting. I think most readers were wondering if they missed something…
