This story starts out as a weird ghost story about a group of people who keep acting out a specific scene. Then it takes a turn and becomes about the soldier who rushes into the time loop to try to affect change and becomes caught in it. The explanation here – complete with Cask of Amontillado brick wall – ties up the whole story nicely.
