For the first three panels, our heroine is talking about germs and phobias and obsessions. In panel four, she says “sometimes I think about other things.” It’s an ominous panel where the majority of the detail is in shadow. Only the knees, one foot and one hand are in view. The hand is especially telling – very near the genitals. An area of some interest to longtime readers of the strip and people who know that the creator transitioned years later.
