The strip on the bottom half of the page is largely forgettable symbolism. What’s really interesting to me is the Battlefield Earth ad on the top half of the page, especially the note that “Soon to be two motion pictures.” IMDB tells me that the first film was released in 2000, some sixteen years after this ad ran, and that a second film still hasn’t been released almost fifteen years later.
