Joost Swarte’s art style always reminds me more of Thimble Theater than Tintin – something you can really see in the third panel. Of course, it does have the horribly racist imagery from that time in panel one. The best part of these pages are the little one-off notes like the dog trying to shoot up in the bottom left corner. Completely absurd and nonsensical, which is oddly charming.
