There’s some implied body horror in that weird extra-dimensional creature with way too many eyes in the first tier. It’s pure Xalabarder, though – that kind of thing tends to pop up in most of his work. At the same time, the moment to moment transitions in the middle tier remind me of Guido Crepax.
