This episode of the story takes a weird detour through a resort that seems like it was lifted from a Fellini set. This is probably not an accidental homage – only a few years later, Manara and Fellini collaborated on a book that was eventually released as Trip to Tulum.
Something very interesting to note in the top right panel. The lines around the woman’s crotch along the bottom edge aren’t drawn in. It’s very subtle, but it gives the impression that someone crept in and made a slight change. The pudenda in the next panel is similarly featureless. A few panels from this same feature a few months ago showed a lot more detail, which makes me wonder what happened.
