The very abrupt ending of Tex Arcana. It was pretty good serialized story – it never quite knew where it was going and featured some beautiful crosshatching, which seems to be what Heavy Metal liked to publish.

According to the editor, one of the major complaints that led to a format change was the interminable ongoing serials. It’s easy to speculate that Tex Arcana was one of the serials that drew these kinds of complaints.
