At the top of the page, we get to see the end of an extended sexual sequence where Druuna prostitutes herself for drugs – but it’s okay because the drugs are actually medicine that she uses to cure the strange tentacle monster living in her flat.

The hand reaching out towards her in the bottom panel is a man with a knife who forces her to perform fellatio over the course of the next two pages. 

The really problematic thing about Serpieri is that we are repeatedly presented with a beautifully rendered woman in really morally dubious sexual situations. Often, the body reacts to the images before the mind has a chance to realize that Druuna is really the victim here, just trying to do her best to survive with the only asset she has available – her body.
