Jill – the main character depicted here – has just been through a traumatic experience and is turning to the drugs that her alien lover (who was shot in front of her) had on him for solace.

One of the interesting design choices throughout the story are the white text on black background caption boxes. These are the texts that Jill enters into her dictaphone – effectively her narrating out loud to the machine.

The other interesting design choices throughout are the interior designs. In my opinion, this story is Bilal at his best, working with a consistent color palette and lush detail – the gunk on the walls in the bathroom or the moth-eaten rug.
