The drugs have really taken hold. This is the second man that Jill has killed because he snuck into bed with her. In fact, she’s wearing the glove on her hand because the bloodstain from the previous murder has not gone away – a la Lady MacBeth. In the end, we’re told that this whole thing was nothing but a drug-induced hallucinogenic psychosis.

The colors are beautiful, as is the way the sheet artfully drapes across the face of the man in the second panel. It really is a gorgeously rendered comic.
