One of the interesting things that this series does is these set up pages. The first two panels start the set up for the next portion of the story and the rest of the panels are snapshots from around the town, more or less in reaction. I absolutely adore the drawing of the tower in the first panel, but some of the minor details are great, too – the shadow of the shutters in the fifth panel, for example.
