Although this scene is set in a brothel, it’s not played for titillation – note how the panel breaks on the last tier, so that the breasts of the woman in the background are not actually visible. The color work (which is beautiful throughout the story), is really on display here. The contrast between the light in the bar and the darkness of the night is really well done and the low light inside the brothel is at just the right level to be sexy.
