Here’s something interesting: each of these pages has an awkward first tier. It’s difficult to tell which order the panels should be read in at the top of the page.
In the final two pages, this problem could have been easily solved by putting a panel break right through the panel in the upper right corner of the page, dividing the image into two panels. Try it and see.
That first page, though – that’s fucked. If you draw that line, you end up with a panel of narrative dead space.
