So I’m calling bullshit on the “fact” that Mad Magazine was an attempt by DC comics to dethrone Heavy Metal. Mad Magazine was first published in 1952, 25 years before Heavy Metal made its debut. Also, it’s Epic Illustrated. But that’s minor, compared to the prior point.
