This ending really doesn’t mesh very well with the rest of the story – which is about a man living in a world where all the real women have disappeared, leaving only android women. He makes a wish to spend a night with a real woman and then we get this page. Which I guess is meant to indicate what happens to people who make wishes – they get shuffled into decks of cards?

What I think is really interesting is how the scanner picked up the edges of the black background, which is nowhere near as noticeable on the page as it is here.
