This is an amazing story by McKie. It’s all about his struggles as a comic artist (hence the title). Here, he has been co-opted by the state to become part of the machine. This results in him being told what to draw and how to draw it. The second tier has the hilarious scenario of his drawing table not being at the same angle as everyone else’s, earning him yet another strict rebuke.
Seriously, if you are a comic artist, seek out the whole story. You will not be disappointed.
