The whole story is about this man, who has been saving up money so that he can get cosmetic surgery to look like a duck (thus the amount of duck imagery throughout). The twist is that the doctor made him look like a kangaroo instead. Sad trombone.

What I liked about this page was the tiny captions of the time in the upper left hand corner of each panel – which makes this a very nice capsule summation of his day at work. It’s a neat narrative trick.
