In this story, we find both of Segura and Ortiz’s post-apocalyptic heroes – Attila and Hombre – together for the first time. They don’t really get along for the most part, which is some of the most interesting dialogue in the story. But this is a visual blog, so this isn’t that page.

The page that you’re looking at is the fortress that Hombre has been living in for two years – a beached ship that was stranded when the water receded. From a post-apocalyptic living perspective, it’s a pretty nice place. Very secure – so secure that these terrible people in the blue cloaks at the bottom of the page have to come up with a way to trick the inhabitants out of their fortress so they can kill them.

Spoiler alert: the trick works.

The ship itself almost looks like something that was drawn by Bilal, back when he was crawling out from under the influence of Moebius.
