One of the running sub-plots throughout this series that highlights the alternate reality of the setting is the fact that Adolf Hitler is a cartoonist who makes a very popular comic called Herman the German. In this installment, he is making his first trip to the United States, an arrival that is very eagerly anticipated. I think there’s something very awesome about setting up a situation where the arrival of Hitler would be anticipated.
