Burton and Cyb were hired by a scientist to capture a group of mindless savages so that the scientist could uplift them into sentience. The end goal was to make them workers on a distant mining planet. Unfortunately, the newly intelligent group have a strong class consciousness and spend days debating the terms of the contract. This includes feminism and socialism, which is some of the best dialog in the story.
