There’s a frame story around this dinosaur story, but the dinosaurs are the best part. There’s a whole narrative about the vegetarians finding a fossilized trilobite, which proves that the volcano is not a god that must be obeyed absolutely. The meat-eaters disagree and violence ensues. This fight halts with the appearance of Rex. The reactions in the middle tiers are some of the best visual storytelling in the whole piece.
