The most interesting part of the entirely surreal setting that the characters are wandering through is the sun that is almost ready to go out, as seen in the final panel.
For the most part, though, story details like that are largely irrelevant to the enjoyment of the page. Instead, things like the sawtoothed panel border in the second tier and the rather vaginal panel break in the last tier attract more attention.
Administrative aside: Kaz was at the Pittsburgh Indie Comics Expo at the beginning of April. It’s great to know that artists that were being published in Heavy Metal from back in the day are still around and still working.
