This is one of the most problematic features that Heavy Metal has printed to date. The two proceeding pages feature a very graphic gang rape of Druuna, the main character in the story. I’m not going to post the two pages, but if you really want to see them, you can find them here. 

The most obvious thing about the two pages is that Serpieri draws the activity as sexy, which only amplifies the horrific aspect of the sequence.

On this page, the follow up scene contains Druuna musing about how much fun she had, even though she was drugged and the whole thing was completely non-consensual. This is the kind of thing that gives people the idea that gang rape is okay because the rapee might actually like it after the fact. She just has to, y’know, give it a try. Ugh.
