I read this sequence four times before I scanned it and I’m still not entirely certain I understand it. The plane crashed, leaving the woman and her daughter alive. Then a cyborg found the woman and she spent a few pages yelling at him. During that conversation, her daughter got stolen(?) and somehow managed to get so far away that the cyborg had to get on a motorcycle to get there. Or maybe it just looked cooler that the cyborg was getting there on a motorcycle? Either way, this splash page depicts the daughter being torn apart by savages living in the desert. Max Carnage, indeed.
