Early on, we see this warrior gain a state that prevents him from dying. Which is awesome, except that he gets his head cut off and placed on a hook above the gate to a city he tried to assault. And so this last page is an extremely creepy look at the flesh falling off his skull as he rots but does not die. It’s gruesome, but still a very effective sequence.
