This one of Prado’s little sketches of the absurdity of suburban life. A nebbish husband gets pulled onstage as part of an audience participation sales event where he is asked to measure the bust of a woman in a sexy Santa Claus outfit. When his wife shows up, he freaks out and antics ensue, leading directly to his death with his face pressed up against the breasts of the model and a smile on his face. Ho ho ho.
Artistically, this is Prado in peak form, observing the grotesque shape of contemporary culture. I enjoy this page (the second panel in particular) for reasons.
