More blatant censorship on the part of Heavy Metal. Here, the cute little light erotica strip takes a very dark turn into what is clearly sexual assault. I haven’t seen the original page, but judging from the expression on Ego’s face in the second panel, it doesn’t look good for her friend. Perhaps it is a good idea to censor out the rape scenes, but it begs the question of why the series felt it needed a rape scene in the first place. Bad form.
