P. Craig Russell’s work is almost too pretty to make a successful Lovecraft adaptation. To be fair, he does a good job with trying to make with the unspeakable horrors from the outer dimensions, but they’re just a little too symmetrical to be unspeakable. I mean that big one in the upper left of the last panel kind of looks like a tick. And is that a cockroach next to it?
