This is a pretty straightforward little story about what look an awful lot like Warhammer 40K Space Marines fighting some kind of little spore infection that turns into bugs (thus the name). Of course, some of the marines get infected and then have to be put down, but it’s mostly an action story. 

The last page of the story has a twist in that the people killing the bugs are actually exterminators – complete with van and business cards. As these things go, it’s not a bad twist because it’s actually flows quite nicely with the rest of the story and doesn’t come as a huge surprise.
