In theory, the name of the story refers to the fact that this brother and sister pair are gypsies (get it?). He’s been driving a truck freelance on the global highway that had to be constructed because the extreme winter weather shut down the ability to move freight by air or sea.

The color scheme through the whole story is either blues or oranges. Blues for the outside, highlighting the cold, wintery environment. Oranges for the interiors, implying warmth and/or comfort.

Also, the nature of the bar is heavily implied by the stripper on the pole in the middle of the page, but the man with the maple leaf tattoo on his face is another good indicator. On the next page, the main character slices the tip of that man’s tongue off for daring to insult his sister like that – with no further repercussions.
